With its high standards of quality, the VDVM is the leading association of independent insurance brokers in Germany. Gußmann has been a member of the VDVM since 1971 and is among the most efficient industrial insurance brokers.

In 1918, in the days when there were no demands for quality on independent brokers, the founding members drew up a quality code which was recognisably higher than those of the other ordinary agents and sales units of the insurers.

This standard has been developed over the years. Today the quality code is preserved in the “Code of Conduct” and can be examined by anyone.

Among the requirements for acceptance into the VDVM are:

• Extensive expert knowledge
• Reliable and structured financial status
• Financial loss liability with particularly high amounts
• Positive recommendation from active VDVM members

As a symbol of membership the VDVM brokers use the association’s logo and have a “brokers’ rod” like a seal (top picture).
